My Journey

Yoga is wholesome for me in every way; a truly beautiful movement-journey of mind, body and soul.

A lost mid-twenties, a passionate desire for self healing and exploration, and a tentative curiosity led me into my first yoga class. After two very powerful Reiki initiations, I felt I needed a deep and meaningful change in my life. I left the UK, and embarked on a journey into the great unknown – to live for a year on a small island in the middle of the Atlantic, gifting massage and healing to others.

My love of being on a self development path kept growing the longer I travelled along it, and as I continued healing and learning more about myself, supporting and empowering others felt like a true calling for me.

After island hopping for a few months, I entered into a Yoga beginners course. It was a few years before my regular practice really started, but once it did, I completely fell in love with being on the mat.

I haven’t looked back since, and almost as soon as my relationship with myself through yoga really began, my desire to teach evolved organically – born of a desire to support others in the spiritual and physical discovery, connectedness, growth, and self empowerment that yoga provided, and continues to provide, for me.

My Approach

My teaching has a real focus on the breath, and the being, embodied and present in the moment. I see great value in the sense of community that yoga creates, and how the energy of this group connectedness can inspire.

I believe that a regular yoga practice can show us in each moment our emotional and bodily wisdom. We can come off a yoga mat feeling empowered and rejuvenated, ready and focussed to live a life that is authentic and true to us.

My offerings also include the spiritual practices of meditation and breathwork, and I draw on several years of varied yoga, healing, and bodywork experience. My gratitude is endless to the many great teachers who have influenced, and will contunue to influence, my teaching path.

“Charlotte’s classes completely transform my day in such a positive way – I am so glad I discovered her class.

I have been practicing yoga on and off for the last 17 years and she is by far my favourite instructor and is really helping me to explore and improve my practice. It’s a 7:15am class and starts with an opportunity to reflect, set intentions and also consider how outside elements might be impacting how we are feeling.

Charlotte takes us through a range of flows that change each week and all feels just incredible as you move through them. She clearly takes time to plan and prepare each class, teaching us about Chakra energy, the moons influence and playing beautiful music to help us focus. She creates a perfect balance between the spiritual and the physical components of the practice and is able to communicate often complex flows to a real mix of abilities in the class. My colleague also comes to her classes and is a beginner and really enjoys it because she is able to mix abilities so well in this way.

There are very few things that I would get up at 5:30am for but her class is top of my list!!”

“Charlotte is a warm, encouraging and talented yoga teacher. Every time I come out of her class I feel thoroughly stretched and relaxed after a hard day’s work. The type of yoga Charlotte teaches encourages a range of movements to suit all abilities.

Charlotte’s class has made me look forward to a Tuesday night, and sleep like a baby!”

- Gemma

“Charlotte instantly calms the room when she comes to teach. I personally always feel transformed to another place when I attend one of her practices. Charlotte balances the mindfulness and physical parts of yoga extremely well. I look forward to her class every week.”
